In the aforementioned Beverin mountain inn we meet a couple on motorbikes (who are just up there by car for a short while, but they also have a very good excuse!) and promptly learn from them our destination for today's excursion. It's off to Juf. Juf is at 2126 m above sea level and thus above the tree line. Juf is considered the highest year-round settlement in Switzerland and one of the highest in Europe. Let's take their word for it.
The drive up there alone is a dream. The photos speak for themselves. We all meet up again at the top and have a cup of coffee together. Thank you very much, you two, for the wonderful time together!
Oh, by the way, the fact that Gerd is never in the photos is because he is taking pictures all the time. And I, as always, have to concentrate fully on the road, the surroundings, my Malou and above all on myself. And yes, he heroically takes photos even while driving. I am very impressed. When I get to it besides my driving work.
