Great Journey 🇳🇴 Day 539
We can't help it: we just love Norway. When we toured the south of Norway on our motorbikes two and a half years ago, we were, as they say nowadays: in love with shock. Back then, our helmet radio glowed with short phrases like "Oh, wow!" Or "Nah, so beautiful!" And a little later, after the next bend, "Look, brilliant, isn't it?"
Somehow we still knew that Norway is beautiful. But the many new experiences had made the memories fade.
In the morning we are faced with the important question: "Where to?" Straight to Lofoten? Or, as everyone recommends, up to Tromsø? How easy life would be if you had a plan.
We decide on Tromsø. And that promises a magical route through "our" Norway. The camera snaps away, we are happy.
And now we are sitting in our Felix, finally (!) driving up and down mountains again, along magical fjords. We see water in liquid form again. And we realise: we are simply mountain people. We cross beautiful bridges and jet through long tunnels.
We wonder a bit why we are so happy. Was it too much for us in Sweden at the end? Temperatures in the single-digit minus range are absolutely enough for us. Did we run out of steam a little? Are we tired of travelling? Do the mountains please us more than we would ever have admitted?
Probably a bit of everything. Now up north for the time being.
And no, if there is speculation now: we are not interested in the North Cape. We're not going to "tick it off". We'll probably take a break for a few days. We'll see where and how.
