On the way back from Juf, we drive through the picturesque Via Mala once again. Unfortunately it is still closed to visitors, but even from the road we could observe the Hinterrhein and its wild goings-on. The cliffs, which are up to 300 m high in some places, don't leave much room for the river and add momentum! "Via Mala" translates as "bad path" (Romansh). There's no question of that nowadays, we küvel along the rock faces on a well-built road, stopping here and there to enjoy the view. My feet are itching - I'd love to spend a whole day hiking along this path, over hill and dale, gaining metre after metre from the "bad path".
Today is probably not the time, but certainly another time. Because one thing is clear: this was not the last time we were here!
