028 - My adventure crossing the Alps - The journey to Ticino

The crossing of the Alps starts in Ticino. Our journey and the chaos before it.

Gerd is taking me to Locarno. But until that time comes, it still needs rest on his part. Because I jump out of bed at 4 a.m. with excitement, run back and forth in the flat without a plan and we only manage to leave around noon. And why we didn't make it to Ticino after all is the story we tell in this episode.

But one thing in advance: I am writing this text in Ascona, over an espresso and with a view of Lake Maggiore.

So we made it. But now, just listen to the episode of chaos, excitement, tingling in the stomach and love and happiness on the Simplon Pass.

Here again why I am doing this Alpine crossing

Dear Heike,
Now you have already started and I wish you a super nice hike with impressive good experiences. I have just listened to your contribution to the preparation and journey in my garden to relax in the evening - you have always made me smile, both of you are wonderful and Gerd should also report now and then how he is doing without you in the knowledge of your "solo walk" which will certainly demand a lot from you ... the universe and my thoughts are always positive with you - thank you very much for letting me / us participate in this adventure - and as an old biker I can only support and agree with your thoughts about the bikers, by the way, hikers I know also ???? With love and all the best for you - Babsi from Petershagen
