Great Journey 🇸🇪 Day 565/2
Here in Sweden, too, we leave the big roads as soon as possible. We cruise along the small coastal roads through the sweetest places! These little Swedish houses. Right on stilts by the water. Simply sugar!

We take a break in Fjällbacka and consider staying here. But somehow we are driven on. Are we probably already in that home-travel mode where you just want to keep going?

We land in Smögen, first walk leisurely through the town, then further over the archipelago and are even allowed to spend the night with an elderly gentleman on the doorstep. He joins us for a chat and we learn that he was born here, that his father built one of these little wooden houses and that Smögen is unbearably crowded in summer.

Let's understand immediately: it's beautiful!

He also tells us about a boat boom. Apparently, the Swedes have been buying boats like crazy over the last two years. Similar to what we know from Switzerland and Germany with the campers. Well, we are part of it, of course. And: with pleasure!

Back to Smögen, Gerd, the promenade fan, obviously feels at home on the wooden promenade. The colourful little houses, the small cafés (which are all closed, however) and the scuffed rocks in between. Simply beautiful. We walk past various "outdoor pools", even with a real sandy beach. But honestly, we don't feel like swimming yet, even though we were already in the double-digit plus range today and Felix doesn't even have to heat anymore.

After an early dinner, everyone hides in a corner and a normal Saturday evening can begin: Candle, nibbles, knitting needles and a look at what the internet has to offer.
