We made it. We find a room in Realp, at the Uri end of the Furka Pass. But before we go to bed, we go for a run. I always notice that I miss the exercise when we sit on the bike all day. And I wonder how the other motorbike riders do it who spend so many hours in the saddle. And we realise that we have to include exercise units on our trip from September onwards. Otherwise: Back! Or shoulder!
So the idea would have been to walk around the town a bit. We were there in about 8 minutes, there and back. Very manageable. Then we had to find a bit of nature and a hiking trail. Just beautiful again.
And the anticipation rises for the coming day: Furka and Grimsel Passes and then home along the most beautiful lakes in the world, Lakes Brienz and Thun.
