Great Journey 🏍 Day 65
Country number six: Greece 🇬🇷
Review Italy:
Journey time: 58 h
Kilometres travelled: 2262 km
Consumption: 5.9 l/100km
Average speed: 49 km/h
From Rome: Travelling with only one motorbike, with only half the kitchen, with only a reduced choice of clothes and instead of doing without the camping chairs for weight reasons, we only have one toothbrush, which we now share.
All nights: in agriturismo, hotels & airbnb
Special:
Road markings, speed signs and stop signs here are apparently recommendations, not unconditional rules.
What all hotels have in common is that they have problems with the water cisterns.
Except in Rome and Venice, Italian is the only language spoken. We don't really get far with Russian (haha), French or English.
Even the food in Italy (like the Bohemian, Austrian and bourgeois Bavarian cuisine) does not shine with the lightest and lowest-calorie creations. But it is our eternal favourite. My God, the food there is delicious! In my next life, I'll be incarnated in Italy, in a family where they serve gnocchi every day.
Otherwise, we can only wish that guests will (be allowed to) come again as soon as possible, who will (be allowed to) enliven the street cafés and provide an income for the people in Italy.
Besides, there are so many antennas on the roofs. We used to have them at home.
