057 - Geneva, Montreux or where am I?

If your girlfriend invites you to Geneva for a coffee, that doesn't mean you'll get a coffee in Geneva!

Our trip started on a Wednesday morning in Bern. Packed with hairbrush, ballerinas and a water bottle, we set off by train. Perfectly prepared for a girls' day out in the city. However, none of us realised at the beginning that we would end up in an adventure hike with waterfalls, very steep paths without signposts and half a forest strawberry for lunch.

But since we are both quite spontaneous and trust each other, we threw our plan overboard during the train ride and got off in Motreux. The sun was shining and we took the cable car up to the Rochers de Naye. On the mountain, unfortunately, there was no more sun, but visibility was up to the tip of our noses... So we quickly had a coffee and wanted to go back down to have something to eat in the centre of Montreux. Now, however, the visibility improved and we decided to walk the distance to the next station. According to the display, 1 hour and 10 minutes.

How this turns into a 5-hour hike, how we are in tears with laughter, how we consider calling the REGA out of desperation and how we eat the best crispbread in the world, is what I tell my dear husband today.

We hope you enjoy it.
