06 October 2019

I've been living in Bern for almost 10 years now. And today it happened: I'm in the Paul Klee Centre. The address alone is worth mentioning: "Monument im Fruchtland 3". However, I'm not going to the exhibition (which exhibition is actually here?) but to a book reading. They call it a matinee here. I had to google the word first. - - -
Exactly 10 years ago, I came across the Asia correspondent and novelist Jan Philipp Sendker and his books. His books are about Burma, Hong Kong, China and, above all, love.
He takes me into the cultures and "docks" the country information onto beautiful stories of the people there.
That I already have his current book on my eBook reader is obvious. But the fact that he is in Bern on the very morning I have time seems like a wonderful coincidence. (Or not a coincidence, because I don't believe in that).
However, I have a small, as yet unsolvable problem: how can he sign my eBook for me?
