Actually a beautiful day in the mountains. Sun ️ snow ️ happy families sledging ? and skiing ⛷.
But also a thoughtful one. We sit over coffee in the Oeschinensee mountain inn, chatting with the innkeeper about the course of life. And about the 20 million cubic metres of rock that will probably come down at some point. The experts predict this for the next few years. How much is 20 million cubic metres? I can't imagine, but I hope only the best for the residents of Kandersteg and the Berggasthaus Oeschinensee. Whatever the best might be!
On the hike back to Gondeli, a REGA helicopter. The four-man team including the doctor were in full action. We sincerely hope that the man is feeling better by now. A little later, as the helicopter flies overhead towards the hospital, our blessings are with it!
Thank you REGA! Once again we are grateful that our small, modest Rega contribution may make a difference after all.
A thoughtful, loving and somehow also a humble day draws to a close.
