I was on the road alone for a week. Okay, not completely alone. On the back of my Malou (a 1250 GS Adventure) I rode through eastern Switzerland and then, because of the weather, also through Italy and Ticino. Almost always on the Grand Tour. Here you can see the entire tour planned by myswitzerland, but for me 7 days is far too little time for far too much to see. That's why I decided to see only the east! So I made a week out of one and a half route days. Including many side trips...

Here is my route, which already deviates somewhat. But the beauty of individual travel is that neither a plan has to work nor does it have to exist. (I have to include 2 maps in Google Maps, because you can only enter 9 addresses per map and the display here keeps switching to motorway).
I have entered the following as preferences in my sat nav (from BMW):
extra curvy // no motorway // toll roads were allowed, as I have a vignette for Switzerland // also like ferries.
The Google route is therefore only an orientation. Some passes of the Grand Tour were still closed (normal at the beginning of May), so I took beautiful detours! All in all, I made just under 1200 km.
After this wonderful trip, my beloved (who would have loved to come along) interviewed me and a little podcast episode was created. Enjoy listening and looking at the pictures!
And if you have any questions about the route or the bike: go ahead!
Kind regards, Gerd & Heike

And now the pictures:
You've already seen a lot. Some Swiss only know a part of their homeland ? eastern Switzerland is easy to ride in spring. The passes rather in autumn and during the week ? otherwise there would be too many Raudis ? hope you like to come back ? a hearty TöffTöff Remo
Hello Remo! I'll definitely be back, that's for sure! We're already rummaging around in the calendar to find suitable dates. Best regards - Heike
Hello Heike, I have just listened to your podcast with great excitement, I have already read and heard a lot about this tour, also photo-wise. I am also new to motorbikes and have a few ideas that I would like to implement.
Continue to have fun
Greetings Martin
Hi Martin, the tour is really great. And absolutely doable even for beginners. But I wouldn't take the time suggestions seriously. Especially from a photo point of view, it needs time and especially the morning and evening hours 🙂
Is there anywhere I can view your photographic work?
Love, Heike
