Great Journey 🏍 Day 69

Our new little home for the next few weeks: Koroni.

A sweet little town. These beautiful blue and white houses, the winding streets and after every bend the view of the sea, of course a fortress high above (a bit outdated, according to Wiki probably not in use for a few hundred years!) and lots of nice restaurants. These are currently closed. On Friday, our day of arrival, we were able to enjoy the beautiful evening hustle and bustle once more, then it was over.

Actually, it ended briefly on Friday evening - a big crack went through the city and the whole town was in darkness thanks to a power cut. But no need for stress here. Candles and mobile phones lit up and life went on as before. Instead of coffee, I got Coke, instead of warm onions in tomato sauce, simply a portion of Bakhlawa. In retrospect, a wonderful alternative.

It has been quiet since Saturday morning. When we walk through the city, for example to do some shopping or just to move around, it is quiet, beautiful and strange at the same time.
