106 - Grand Tour of Switzerland: Glarus, Grisons and Bernese Oberland

Before we take you on our spontaneous short trip in the new episode, we have a travel update!

We were drawn out for Whitsun. We drive to eastern Switzerland, to Graubünden. On the spur of the moment we drive through the Emmental to Beckenried, spend the night there and in the early morning we continue over the Klausen Pass to Glarus.

Later the trail leads us to Graubünden, here we "climb" the Glaspass and drive through the Via Mala.

The way back, 2 days later, takes us through the Rhine Gorge and further over the Oberalp Pass. We finish with the Furka and Grimsel and the enchanting Bernese Oberland.

We take you with us on our little trip. And if you like, take a look at the pictures here. (Or take a look at the individual Innsta posts, you can also find them here at https://www.leben-pur.ch/category/europa/schweiz/ and then you go to 31 May to 4 June 2020)

Do you have questions, ideas, tips for further tours? Let us know, write to us or comment on Insta or Facebook!

Best wishes - still from Switzerland,
Heike & Gerd

Beautiful! This route (in many points) is coming up in a fortnight. Yesterday we planned with the Grand Tour manual.

The photos of you mean anticipation for me.

I'm looking forward to the podcast.

Kind regards
Thomas

It's exciting to hear what kind of route you took. It's a great way to get to know the region on your doorstep from a different perspective. There is still potential for other corners, but you still have time to do that at another time.

If you're exploring Appenzellerland, get in touch, I'll buy you a coffee.
