We have been reading to each other ever since we met. It started with the travel stories in Globetrotter magazine. (Yes, you are largely responsible for our travel ideas!) We continued with thick books and long biographies. Until we discovered travel literature for ourselves. Actually, the idea was that we read to each other. That was probably just my idea. Because in the meantime only I read aloud. Gerd listens. And always asks. And excitedly "before". As if I already know more than he does. After all, we are always at the same point in the book (that's the logic of reading aloud).
Over the last few years, we have collected quite a few books. Our favourite is always the book we are currently reading. At the moment it is "Einmal mit der Katze um die halbe Welt" by Martin Klauka. Martin, a motorbike traveller, actually takes his cat with him in his tank bag on a journey from Germany to Dubai (that's what it says in the blurb, we are only in Greece with the two of them...). We are fascinated and think - just for a moment - of taking our Nero ? with us on our big journey. We quickly discard the idea, because there are several reasons against it. The most important reason would probably be that he is such a "scaredy-cat". Even a crackling Velcro fastener on our enduro boots or opening a jacket zip too quickly sends him fleeing. What would a rattling boxer engine do to him? And, rightly asked, does our hummer fit in the tank bag? Hardly. But the idea fascinates us. But only us.

"Life pure!" is a collection of our very personal travel moments. We are currently planning (or something like) our biggest adventure. In 2020, we want to embark on an open-ended and unplanned journey ? on two motorbikes ? Until then we are dreaming, researching and looking forward to it. #lebenpur #lebenpuron the road #lebenpurontheway #rideonmalou #womanrider #bmwmotorcycle #bmw @myswitzerland #meinglobetrottermoment
