In response to our "We're learning to screw" story yesterday, we received a lovely message from @xtadventures. They gave us tips on changing tyres manually and the alternative air filter from @guglatech . (Thanks for that!)
And while writing, it suddenly occurs to me: no matter how much we prepare, no matter how much we try to get to know the unknown beforehand, no matter what we can imagine: we will certainly experience completely different adventures that we can never prepare for here, from our sofa. And that's exactly why we're setting off in August. To look at the world and be surprised by what's out there. What stories are waiting for us, what coincidences will happen to us, what people we will meet and probably also: what will happen to ourselves.
We will certainly not welcome everything with flying flags, we will only understand a lot in reflection and we will probably have to laugh about some of it afterwards. But isn't that what adventure is all about? Setting out into the unknown?
