Are we the only ones who have never been to Sweden?
No matter who we tell about Sweden, everyone has been there. They've all been to Sweden in their childhood or something.
Well, now we are here too and have to say that we like it from the start. Pretty little houses, clean streets, friendly people, absolutely relaxed situations. Everything very quiet, everything very leisurely.
I read the following in our guide to faux pas (quote): "...Although it may also grate on your nerves that many Swedish customers are apparently not yet familiar with the "blessings" of effective, rational and forward-looking payment processes - take it with equanimity, exercise patience, keep your place in the queue: finally stop, finally just be there, finally do nothing! Come to yourself, breathe deeply in and out, just let the thoughts come and go, feel them relax..."
Ommmm - we've arrived in Sweden, here in Karlskrona, wander around a bit, visit the first archipelago, delight in the little red houses and keep silent for hours while Felix's pseudo-fireplace roars warmly, Gerd reads and I knit.
