Great Journey 🏍🏍 Day 10

Just a quick trip to a lookout tower. The last one for today. Quickly catch a glimpse of the now renaturalised mining areas. To the coming Cottbus Baltic Sea.

By 2030 at the latest, the 1,900-hectare Cottbus East Lake is to be created from a former open-cast lignite mine.

The tower takes us up 272 steps and 50 m high. I want to mention briefly: at over 23° C and in motorbike gear! At the top, Gerd can't really enjoy the view, the whole thing seems too high for him. He is quickly back down again. While I let my eyes wander in all directions and can't imagine that there will ever be a huge lake here.

Back down again, we are completely exhausted - from the impressions of the day and the physical exertion. Now we just have to ride quickly into the sunset and hope to find a hotel room spontaneously and then off to bed.
