127 - Greece Review - A Winter in Lockdown - Great Journey

Before we take you to Bulgaria, we take a podcast-like and absolutely subjective look back at almost 6 months in Greece!

Here's our little checklist of what we'll be chatting about:

  • The Greek Food and the Lockdown
  • At the market lots of vegetables and many meetings
  • Shopping at Lidl
  • Unfinished houses, strange and an attempt to justify it
  • Where to put the toilet paper
  • Wrecked cars everywhere, even in the most beautiful gardens
  • Are there road rules and if so, to whom do they apply?
  • Road surfaces, marking strips and speed recommendations
  • GPS and Google Maps do what they want, not where we want to go
  • Place-name signs in Greek?
  • No public transport experience (lockdown & motorbike travel)
  • Can the Post be on time?
  • The issue of power cuts , especially for us as digital nomads
  • Beaches, sand or stones, many bays and the colour of the sea
  • Where are all the children?
  • Many hikes instead of a round trip (This is how changes of plan go in lockdown times)
  • Monocultures of olive trees in the south
  • All qualities of living possible, from 200 € to 1000 € per month possible
  • The weather in winter
  • Internet-Quality via smartphone or Wifi in hotels or Airbnbs
