Great Journey Day 706/2
The Wild Atlantic Coast Way starts in Kinsale. And there are washing machines here. At least two reasons to pay the town a little visit.
While the laundry turns and the gentle Irish rain drips on our Felix, we take a look at what this coastal path has to offer. A lot, it seems. Hopefully we'll make it back to the British Mother Island before the first snowfalls.
Kinsale itself is somehow not so ours: it is home to the international jet set with yachts from all over the world and the greatest density of award-winning gourmet restaurants. The award-winning gourmet restaurants don't do our travel budget much good in the long run, so we disappear into a pub.
I watch the dressed up and nicely dressed "jet set", Gerd celebrates the Community Shield final broadcast on TV (and won) with the four or five other Liverpool fans. The fact that all the other football fans in the pub are Manchester City fans is not seen so narrowly here, here you simply feast together!
There is nothing more to report from Kinsale, we sleep well hidden behind the fire brigade (which, thank God, is not loudly called to action) and start our coastal round trip in the early morning. Nature, here we come!
