Great Journey 🇨🇭 Day 468
"Aren't you freezing in your van?"
"Don't you get on each other's nerves sometimes, in such close quarters?"
"How, only so little stuff (clothes, kitchen utensils...) do you own?"
"Don't you miss anything?"
"Isn't it difficult to travel in these times?"
Do you notice anything?
These questions, however well-intentioned, have one thing in common: a focus on scarcity. We have been trying to write about the gifts that life gives us for over 2,000 posts. And yes, it is work to want to and be able to see these gifts. But hardly anyone can complain about work, it's part of life. Here we have to work to fill the tank, there to fill the cooking pot. In other places, flats or houses have to be paid for. We also want to give gifts to people, which is always a conscious decision (and work, if you want to see it that way).
And so we now decide to rephrase the questions. Maybe this is an inspiration for you? A rethink, no matter how small it may start, can achieve so much. At any rate, over 2,000 posts ago, we thought, come on, let's just write down the things we want to give weight and gratitude to.
So:
"You guys must be cosy and warm with the heater and some cosy blankets in the van, right?"
"Isn't it wonderful to spend so much time with your loved one?"
"The laundry or van cleaning must be super-fast when you own so little, right?"
"What is it like to have your heart filled through encounters and experiences?"
"How does travelling together strengthen you in these times?"
And, is there something for you?
We wish you from the bottom of our hearts, especially in these separating times, a heart full of warmth, understanding, togetherness, tingling and if that is not enough, a belly full of chocolate.
