Great Journey 🏍🏍 Day 13
"Sure, come on over!"
"You're at your parents' house in the garden with friends, aren't you?"
"Yeah sure, just come along, we'll have a barbecue and afterwards we'll have coffee & cake. Afterwards you come home and sleep with us."
We drive into the country (er, for me Dresden is already country, but okay...) and are warmly welcomed. Stephan and his family greet us, his father, an enthusiastic motorcyclist, is interested in everything. We chat, the table bends from the delicacies and the day bobs along comfortably. The kids race through the village on their bikes, we "old ones" change almost unnoticed from the lunch table to East German coffee table and at some point - quite happy about a cosy Sunday afternoon in the country - we go home. In our luggage we even have our first invitation for a small travel lecture in our parents' barn, later, when we come back.
In this case, "home" is the home of Stephan and his family, because here we are allowed to annex the office for a few days, we open our laptops and throw our sleeping bags onto an air bed. We jump around on the trampoline with the kids and just feel at home in the big kitchen, in the middle of the family. Thank you, dear ones, for letting us spend a few days with you.
