Crazy times. Crazy times. ?
There I am looking forward to the Dirt Girls women's off-road motorbike training in northern Germany and can't get across the border. Just like in the past, when I ran longingly along the Wall in East Berlin and couldn't get "across".
Today it's different, I've discovered freedom, more than that, I want to really celebrate it from August onwards.
?
And now this: the training cannot take place at the moment, dates are postponed from month to month, and yet I still believe: one day Tina Maier will take me under her rally-Dakar-tested wing and show me how to manoeuvre my enchanting Malou over gravel, scree and sand. ?
And instead of moping around, Tina does what many are doing at the moment: she invites us girls to a virtual mental training session. She perceives our fears, gives us space for exchange, lets us feel that everything can be learned and increases my anticipation of everything that Malou and I will experience/learn. ?
So while I throw myself into protective clothing ⛑ and sit comfortably in the conservatory with my laptop on my lap, the zoom session begins.
Hach - I love these times. Kind of. Crazy times, truly crazy!
