Great Journey 🏍 Day 315
There was nothing to do with our (okay, so mine) newfound joy of curves today. But somehow also ingenious, this vastness. And the whole thing in the inner Anatolian plateau, at about 1000 metres above sea level. The area is, by the way, one of the regions in Turkey with the least water.
We wanted to do some distance today, rode for 6 hours and with what felt like an iron butt the straightest route there was, sometimes cross-country, sometimes a kind of federal road.
❣️Das Today's highlight was then another encounter: at a petrol station, we rocked our bottoms and stretched our legs from sitting for so long with a Çay and got to know Bahar. She travels in a minibus with her entire family (siblings, parents, uncles and aunts and even grandma was there) from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea coast. Her picnic is quickly unpacked, we are given cake, börek, cheese buns, ayran and more tea. Saying no is out of the question!
The English on her part and the Turkish on ours is very bumpy. But: with Google translator she tells us that she is going to her wedding, which takes place tomorrow. I ask her if she is excited. Of course, she nods! We immediately take photos and exchange our contact addresses. Late at night she writes to us again. She can't sleep. Understandable. So close to the big day!
Dear Bahar, from the bottom of our hearts we wish you a wonderful marriage, an understanding togetherness and that you always listen to your hearts! And, if we may wish you that, that you will be as happy as we are experiencing in our own marriage. All the best for you both!
