Great Journey 🏍🏍 Day 42

We drive through Chianti. For hours. Small alleys, somewhat larger ones too. The road surfaces change from gravel to tar with and without holes, which are then filled with gravel. And we have the feeling that it will never end. Gerd takes photos at full speed, I can't get enough of these mountains, vineyards, terracotta houses and olive groves.

And the idea of actually drinking a glass of wine sprouts in me. When we arrive in San Gimignano, I plan to get unrestrainedly drunk with Gerd. I tell him my idea via helmet communication, he agrees, we will share a glass of wine. That should be enough. (We are such unbelievably big wine philistines that it should already hurt anyone who thinks of Chianti).

So, did we get drunk? Of course not. I stick to water ("Senza gas, please not so cold, per favore!") and he to Coke. What heroes we are!
