Great Journey 🇨🇭 Day 471
The early bird gets caught in the mist. Or something like that.
In the back, the Grimsel Pass, inaccessible because closed. Directly next to us the - unfortunately also - closed Aare Gorge. But in front of us, right under our noses, Innertkirchen hides in the low-hanging fog.
The small winding road down to the village invites us to stop, we have to enjoy this magical atmosphere. I quickly get out and realise a little too late that I'm still in my morning snug dress and slippers. It's quite cold, I feel. And learn: when you get up (and live in a van) you should dress properly when you go on tour.
So I quickly duck into our living room, not yet ready for winter clothes. But the cosy blanket, the hot tea from the thermos flask and the view through the window are more than enough for once. I watch the fog glide across the countryside and Gerd take photos. (I should perhaps mention that he is, of course, properly dressed and doesn't mind the cold anyway).
In the reflection coffee-and-tea chat (have we had too many end-of-project talks lately?) we realise that freezing is also pure life. Not the most beautiful, but definitely a feeling.
