Norway Tour ?? Day 20
May I introduce you? The best travel partner in the (my) world. First he lures me away from the beautiful RV45 road, only to end up with me, for whatever reason, on a gravel-stone private road. "It's only 8 kilometres, it'll be nice," he says. At first it was. Until the gravel changes to larger stones. And I almost can't hold my Malou properly any more. (I'm already looking forward to my off-road course next year, though, then I'll finally learn how to do it properly - and, above all, have fun doing it). Malou floats away from me, almost like a rubber dinghy on the Aare. At some point my head closes down and nothing works anymore. I now run the hardest stretches while Gerd first rides Kzütz, then Malou in sections. He trudges uphill, downhill to manoeuvre first one, then the other bike through the wobbly stones. By the way, he does it in a totally relaxed and cool way. I, however, was about to pitch the tent in the really beautiful area. But we still have to make some progress, have to be in Oslo tomorrow. At some point, when the pebbles were a little less or more stuck, Malou rode with me again quite neatly. I think she was quite happy that someone who could do it was driving in between. (To all those who are now smiling at my adventure: I know that all this is nothing compared to what others can do. I guess I need a little longer to let my adventurous spirit be followed by adventurous skills. )
