Great Journey 🇨🇭 Day 588
We almost fly over the German autobahn, slow down sharply as we reach the Swiss border and cruise comfortably through Switzerland. Those who know about the speed limit and the violations here know why.
What do the next four weeks look like here?
Family & Friends are clearly on the agenda. We are especially looking forward to meeting our newest family member, our second grand-dog, a little rascal rescued from a home for the dying in Spain with cute little bent ears.
Our Felix gets a workshop spa at our favourite workshop "Steiners" and pretty summer shoes. And we're finally getting rid of this stupid chemical toilet. And yes, we can still go to the toilet, but to a separate toilet. For us, waste separation goes beyond glass, paper and packaging. Oh, our organic parents, I can already hear NextGen calling out.
Then we'll visit the US embassy to hopefully get a visa, which we had already applied for at the beginning of 2020. And maybe - let's see - our journey will take us on a cool road trip through the States sometime in the next 10 years (that's how long the visa would be valid).
We would also check whether the Swiss mountains are still standing, whether the hiking trails still work, whether the mountain restaurants still serve cheese slices and whether the quality of the nut croissants still matches those we remember.
All in all, a comfortable 4 weeks. During which we could slowly decide whether to continue south, north, west or east at the beginning or middle of May. Tender little ideas are developing like little plants in spring. We will water them, nurture them and then see which ones show the most beautiful blossoms.
