Great Journey ๐จ๐ญ Day 472
Vanlife romance begins with the self-building of the van. We admire all those who dare to do it and especially those who can already do it. Or learn to do so during the process.
We are once again glad that we bought a ready-to-go camper. Because: today one of those situations occurred because of which we feel our limits.
And it came like this: I sewed winter weather insulation curtains. These are hung on a curtain rod. Easy as far as it goes. But said curtain rod has to be fixed with 3 small wood screws in our Felix. And this is where our challenge begins.
We are already a bit smart, can elicit everything from the computer, can read complicated knitting patterns and stir organic ointments. Maybe we are also good at a lot of other things and like doing them.
Only the screws in the wood are a real challenge. Several attempts, including a small shake and a (?) screw sunk in the snow later, the winter protection hangs bomb-proof, we are overjoyed, give ourselves several high-fives and feel a bit like van self-builders. At least now we know what drives them: the feeling of having achieved something pretty big.
And after our little friends jubilation, we are glad that we decided on a clampable shower curtain rod for the second rod. Pull it out, clamp it in place, drape the fabric over it and you're done. That's how van-bau รก la Leben-pur works. Marriage saved once again.
