Grand Tour - Ireland - Day 714
In the morning, the sun is shining through the narrow crack in the roof window blind, there is a rumbling. It can't be Olaf, our neighbour's dog, he's the size of a handbag and certainly doesn't have the strength to rumble.
Hm.
We are woken up by the sheep, who seem to think that the little grass under Felix tastes much better than in the huge meadow on the cliffs.
Well, as long as we're awake, let's get going. Today's destination is Kenmare. A small town, which is apparently populated by 100% tourists and restaurant employees. Also good. We fill up our fridge and after a quiet night at the pier of Kenmare we continue our journey. The famous Ring of Kerry is waiting to be discovered.
What do we know about the Ring of Kerry? Buses can drive here (so it's not as lonely as the Beara Peninsula. The roads are two-lane, people no longer wave to each other. It is supposed to be much livelier and of course of infinite beauty. Well, we want to see that first. So far, we have seen nothing but extraordinary beauty in Ireland.
Along the way, we listen to a podcast about beauty perception and learn that beauty could probably be defined by the non-copyability of humans. That could be true, because we always find nature, which cannot be copied by humans, beautiful.
During the first kilometres of the Ring of Kerry, we think about the "almost motorway feeling".

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Huiii, now you've caught us. I guess it was something philosophical with Precht. It was about cosmetic surgery and the beautiful fake world of influencers... about learned beauty and so on.
But I can look it up for you...
