At the weekend, we had the mountain-climbing-light version.
We've never climbed a mountain in motorbike gear on a chair. But everything is the first time. After a nice tour through the Gantrisch Nature Park, a zMorgen on the Gurnigel (with great people we met here (almost) by chance) and further down to the Schwarzsee, the Riggisalp invited us. We heard them calling quite clearly. "Come to me! Here you can test your newest toy!" I have to make a brief comment on this: I always laugh at my husband's affinity for technology. He always has all the gadgets on the latest software version (even the helmet and the domestic vacuum cleaner), of course he has to have the latest 360-degree cameras right away, has been researching for a drone for months and enjoys such toys.
And I am not one bit better. Only different. I've wanted binoculars for ages. Of course I don't really need them, I don't like to carry them around on hikes and all that. But a big trip like this, yes, that's a perfect reason for binoculars. Just imagine we're somewhere in the pampas and we're dying to see what's going on over there. Or we're in the Grisons and wouldn't see the ibexes at all if we didn't have binoculars with us. Reason enough? Absolutely! I'm happy.
