Sunday morning shortly after 9 a.m. The mobile phone flashes. "I'd be ready!" So then, I wake up my beloved with the lovely music of the Thermomix (connoisseurs know how lovely it is) for breakfast. We slip into our station wagon (thanks Stadler, later we will be grateful to have had the station wagon on) and jet off.
We pick up our dear friend. She's not much of a bike girl, more of a hiking friend. But today she wants to come along. For once, she doesn't want to hike as a passenger, she wants to be hiked. She wants Emmental. Let her have it.
It's beautiful everywhere here with us, but so the Emmental is really particularly pretty. No high passes that are still closed. Kind of a low mountain range feeling.
I could post pictures of blossoming rape fields and lush green meadows now. I could also post dramatic flashes of lightning as we stop for a break on the Schallenberg and have to wait out the thunderstorm. I could also post many beautiful pictures of curves.
But I don't, because neither of us thought for a moment about taking pictures.
We enjoyed the day together so much. Enjoyed ourselves. The fresh air, the incredibly beautiful area. And yes, also a little bit of the thunderstorm and the rain, which then washed us through like a torrent in Bern 15 minutes. Even a hiking friend has to experience motorbike rain. We thought so. -----------------------------------
