Autumn refuelling. While we were at the Wanderlust Festival yesterday (a must for us every year, an event full of travel inspiration etc.) it was weird. We strolled through the exhibition, attended lectures and suddenly it was there: the feeling that we don't need any more inspiration. We want to go, finally go.
T minus 9 months. The organisational machinery is running at full speed. Adjusting contracts, giving away the first furniture, talking to customers and bosses, planning the screwdriver course and another 1000 things. Our Trello, our to-do list, keeps filling up. But at some point it has to empty out. We start in 9 months, no matter how many things are still on the list.
And then suddenly this morning: out! Out into the mountains, out into autumn and soak up nature. Up here, high above Biel, it's beautiful at any time of year. But today I feel a special gratitude to be here.
We hike, rustle our shoes through the crackling autumn leaves, eat nut croissants (we can't agree whether these would get 8 out of 10 or even 9 out of 10 points if we had to rate them) and record the 17th audio diary recording about the preparation for our trip. We chat and look forward. And soak up the sun, autumn, life and nature.
