Great Journey Day 418
First of all, we don't have a touring vehicle to call our own at the moment. But we will soon. And until then, we'll be driving around in mum's super runabout.
When that "soon" arrives, we will certainly report on it. We are already tingling inside, planning routes and discoveries in our minds.
Reading the comments on the "moving on" of our motorbike made us realise (once again) what we are sending out here. Thoughts, travel experiences, our own little adventure and always gratitude. Of course, we try to note down the beautiful sides of our journey here. After all, we started out as a gratitude diary. And from today's perspective, we are still keeping it. The same intention as at the beginning.
But life is not always just a "summer retreat", not even for us. We also stumble sometimes, we are tired, hungry, cold or everything is stupid. Sometimes - it's hard to believe - we don't think each other is so great. Yes, that also happens. But less often.
That we talk a lot with each other, weigh things up, toss decisions back and forth and sometimes the tone of voice adjusts to the mood: totally normal. And then, when it suits both of us, we decide. We stand by it. And if we both want it, these decisions find their way into our diary.
Because one thing is important for us: we both want to travel. We will go further. It doesn't matter whether we ride a donkey (which I wouldn't like, the poor animal, so that's out of the question), carry all our stuff on foot (which Gerd has definitely ruled out, but he would also have more equipment to haul!) or discover the world for a certain time, which has now ended, on one or, to begin with, two beautiful brand-new (for us) dream motorbikes.
We want to continue to share our joy of life here, please do not confuse it with the love of something material, such as a motorbike. We love ourselves, our family and friends. Nothing that has seen the light of day in a factory.
