Great Journey 🏍 Day 388

Malou is standing in the hotel driveway, packed and ready to go.
I (that's me, Gerd) first have a leisurely breakfast, because today I'm starting the 4,000-kilometre journey home. And I want to take it easy - after all, I am a Bernese.
But I quickly reach Kutaisi, and my sat nav strangely leads me through beautiful countryside. (My camera-wife prefers to hike through the Swiss mountains, so there are no photos of the pretty surroundings).
Arriving in Kutaisi, I realise that I don't want to stay here. So I keep going, it's fun to step on the gas a bit more without the "pinch the sides, slow down!" socia. Instead of going to some zoo, I drive along a country road. Here, cow and pig say "Hello!" to each other instead of "Good night".
The info pops up on my mobile: "Do you remember to take some photos too?" So I whip out the camera and take pictures of the wildlife instead of the mountains. Pretty too, isn't it?
In fact, I arrive in Batumi on the same day, go to the Bern Restaurant (that's a must for a Bernese) and look forward to seeing the city tomorrow. Because, as Heike and I had planned, on the return journey "we" will take a long look at Batumi on the Black Sea.
