Last Sunday, I was on a plane to Hanover and was happy about the electoral success of the green parties in Switzerland. Unbelievably stupid of me. Rejoicing about green politics and jetting around the world at the same time. When I realise it myself, I am stunned by my own ignorance.
In the last few months I have flown far too much. That has to change.
I will buy a new Bahncard this week (I already have a GA for Switzerland) and will travel to customers by train as often as possible in future. I trust in the punctuality of the trains, the on-board service and the understanding of my customers. Yes, I know, points 1 & 2 make you smile. Point 3 is clear to me in a spirit of partnership.
Today I start at Dammtor station with my beloved ICE. Today I learned that the Gründerstil station Dammtor used to be called Kaiser-Bahnhof. It was actually built in the past to receive emperors, princes, etc. and had an extra Kaiser track. For my part, I already feel a bit royal on my reserved seat in the ICE and I'm already happy.
