During our little walks through Monthermé we discover a sign: on Sunday there is a flower market and sale of regional delicacies.
We quickly ask "our" harbour master for directions and set off for the village school and the show garden behind it.
We stroll past the few stalls, once again glad for our limited space (the perfect shopping frenzy protection!) and enjoy French village meeting romance.
Oh yes, there is also a flower stall selling the ever-popular germanium. All the other flowers are probably grown by the people here themselves. We, for one, enjoy the flowers that are for sale and those that are still "firmly grown" in the ground.
After our 20-minute excursion into the village community, we are drawn to our small home harbour, we continue to watch the three boats moored here and Sunday is already over.
We can dawdle around.
After(t)wear: the full moon shows itself nicely over the water. And I don't know which I like better: the moon or my new smartphone (i.e. our daughter's worn-out "old" one - times are changing!) with its "take-one-night-finally-better-photos" function.
