Great Journey Day 636

great journey day 636 our felix is in the middle of nowhere. once again we find a great place to park.

Our Felix is parked in the middle of nowhere. Once again we find a great campsite with the best "morning-in-the-distance" view. We are all alone, and in the evening the last dog walkers have disappeared.

We use the peace and quiet to do our laundry. We have now installed a kind of "washing machine". And it works like this:Dissolve some curd soap in warm water in the morning, pour in dirty laundry and close the lid of the barrel nicely. Now comes the most important thing: drive on English roads (Norwegian or Georgian would also be suitable)!
In the afternoon, the dirty clothes are washed enough, we now rinse with clear water and use the coastal wind and the sauna-like warmth in Felix to dry.

While the laundry is blowing in the wind, almost soaking wet, we go for a long walk. Our washing machine can't spin yet. It's only a prototype, so to speak.

We admit that a launderette is a better choice, but sometimes it's just wonderful to have a small washing machine with you. Besides, it serves other purposes: Laundry chest, stool, noodle salad bowl (in case of larger crowds of visitors) or we could also put pickles in it. We can also (already very successfully!) show off our Laundry to other campers. (OK, until they see it for the first time...)

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!
