Cosy 11 degrees, the heating is on, the winter jumper is doing its job and the hot coffee warms the hands.

In conversation we realise that we are all grumbling about the weather.
Stupid, isn't it?
It's summer in Switzerland, yes, hot summer, but summer. And in Scotland it's summer too. Scottish summer. And it's raining. Yes, we knew that too.
As I'm reading (okay, actually hearing) in a book, joy comes largely from how you look at it. So now I look at rain for what it is: rain. It makes Scotland beautifully green and it makes Scotland Scotland.
And the fact that the sun is shining elsewhere is also nice. We are happy about that, would like to have some of it too and wait and see. In the meantime, we put the summer clothes back in the back compartments and dig out the thick jumpers again. Cosy socks do the rest.
Scotland, that's what it is.

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland.
