Great Journey 🏴 Day 692
In New Lanark, our minds are recovering from city life. And here something happens that is really strange: we don't feel like going to a museum today. Instead, we go for a walk along the Clyde.

We breathe in the scent of Scotland once more. Mossy green, rivers flowing dreamily, no other people far and wide.

Actually, yes this actually, we wanted to look at the Unesco World Heritage-listed small 18th century village in a great Scottish landscape here. Here, the philanthropist and utopian idealist Robert Owen formed an exemplary industrial community in the early 19th century. The imposing cotton mill buildings, the spacious and well-designed workers' quarters and the sterling educational institute and school still bear witness to Owen's humanism. Write.

We will have to believe it, just didn't look at anything. We had such an incredible longing for green for our souls and eyes. And that is also something we have learned in the last almost two years: you can't have everything. At some point it is also good!

After a wonderful hike, after relaxing togetherness and after Scotland-reflecting conversations, we are ready to leave Scotland so slowly.

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter
