Our plan is working: The NC500 will be beautiful. The roads wind up and down, we are happy about mountains, rocks, blooming nature and again and again the view of the sea.
We don't make many miles, we have to stop all the time. Here a beautiful beach, there a mountain lake. I don't know how often we put on our (rain) gear today to go on one of the many little mini-hikes.
The rain is still there, but since today it is warm. We finally have 17 degrees and the liquid intake is changing from stripping rain to drizzling rain. So we are in good spirits.
In the early afternoon we arrive at a beach (at THE beach!), park next to few other motorhomes and have a quick look: Yes, this is where we stay. High up, we are sheltered from the wind in a rocky curve and have a dreamlike view of the sea and the Maldivian beach.
The sun comes out for half a minute at a time, which we take as a very good sign. I hike all around the cliff while Gerd slumbers the whole afternoon. I think about whether it would be a good idea to go swimming. But I put it off until a day with a bit more sun. You don't have to challenge everything at once.

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable.
