But hello! 100 kilometres in one day.
Felix is already thinking about what this is going to be. A rally?
Easy, big guy! The next few days we stand on the beach at Ventry. Ventry is almost at the end of the next tip. The tip is called Dingle Peninsula and is one of the three or four south-western Dream Coast peninsulas. The Wild Atlantic Coast Way leads past fabulous beaches (when we see the crowds of cars, we don't even stop, take a few shots out of the window and jet on) and through beautiful picturesque villages.
In Dingle itself we then experience the absolute traffic jam. Buses, vans, cars and countless pedestrians share the main road and clog it in all directions. Time for us to make a stop-and-go "city tour" out of it. It takes us about 15 minutes to pass through the small village. There was not enough time for a break, we would not have known where to park.
At the end of the village we pick up a hitchhiker again. He tells us that the buses don't run very often here, but someone always gives him a lift to his village. He is also the first to hear about a Heatwave speaks.
Aha, heat wave. We have a comfortable 20 to 24 degrees during the day. Sunshine and a gentle wind. In the morning our thermometer only rises to 10 degrees. Heatwave in Irish.
When Felix is standing in the dunes and we see the beach, we know: summer holiday! Thank you, you great heat wave!
