When you go to Ireland, it's usually the "Moher Cliffs" on the wish list, we read.
We have seen so much beautiful coastline. We've had breakfast at several cliffs and admired rugged coastlines, so we wonder what's so special about them.
We also notice that Ireland has quite a decent tourism marketing department: as soon as something is hyped, it is suddenly more expensive in terms of entrance fees. 10 kilometres before and after the Moher Cliffs are equally beautiful rocks. Simply at the side of the road.
A little south of the famous coastal edge we park and walk the rest. From far above, we can already see the avalanche of cars and coaches. People meander close to the barrier, we do too by now.
Something spreads inside me, which I observe with interest: I don't feel well here. We realise how lucky we are to be able to simply stop at other unspoilt stretches of coast to enjoy a late breakfast with the best view and, as the icing on the cake, a visit from a few sheep.
While Gerd does the whole hiking round and truly quite beautiful photos I lie down in our Felix, open the rear doors and look out over the sea and a meadow with colourful sheep. Until my eyes fall shut and I am completely content and far away from the hustle and bustle.
"Retired parents with day off" I hear our daughter smirk softly. HereThis should not go unmentioned, today is Sunday!
Merci for "travelling with us
We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.
By the way, we are travelling through Iran. It's possible that we won't be writing posts at all or will be late. We first have to see if it works for us. And whether we can even manage to write down all the fantastic impressions in good time.
Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.
In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter
We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!
Such beautiful pictures again! The one with the huge pile of metal in the background and the mass migration in the foreground is totally out of the ordinary. I would have fled immediately. All in all, your report confirms my view that it's better to avoid special highlights from the travel guides... 😉
Hello Claudia, yes, that's what I thought too. These travel guide tips are special. But also especially beautiful...
It has to be said.
But the last pictures (from the anglers onwards) are from the coast a little further south, so it's all good!
Kind regards - Heike
What a beautiful couple you are. 🥰
And what a colour you have. 🥰❤️
Or did your make-up artist reach too deep into the make-up? 😂🤣
Of course, it could also be the fault of the illuminator. 🤔 💡
And your scenery shifter.... didn't he see that he was shoving the wrong one ? 🎬
So the one with all the tourists on it ?
Dismissed, I would say. ☝️
The rest of the extras,
Sheep, horse....all perfect costumes and the execution....👍 class! Almost like the real thing! 😇
Joking aside......
I understand you too well.
Many people in the same place are also too much for me.
But you have to be careful.
You get so used to being such a wonderful soloist 😉 .
Have a wonderful day.....
Kind regards
s'Racheli
Dear Rachel, sooo beautiful the way you write this. We both laughed tears ❤️
The skin colour is like that when you spend long enough time outside. But the whole beautiful brown ends at the T-shirt sleeve and then becomes a distinguished pale white. 🤣🤣🤣
Kind regards - Heike
