Adobe San Francisco - - My highlight. I had been looking forward to this the most, after all, I have been travelling with Adobe for over 2 decades. Patti Sokol welcomed us into time-honoured walls. Directly at Mission Bay. She showed us all what is going on at adobe in the future and also what is really successful at the moment. There was nothing really new to see, after all, the adobe max had just been held and everything brand new was announced there. Adobe seems to be focusing on designers (in the publishing sector) who want to design something "quickly". Cool templates, great photos, super fonts and fast and easy to understand apps were presented. - - - This may be good from a commercial point of view, but for me as an InDesign professional with a penchant for perfection and database connection skills, it's not really useful. - - Adobe Spark is cool, but lacks the important features. (Note to wish list). The innovations in InDesign are great, but unfortunately still partly buggy. So wait for the updates. I brought a request from Rainer: "Please, make InDesign great again!" Understanding smile. - - However, I am sure that InDesign will probably not make it for the next 20 years. Because if there was a proper CSS-to-PDF export, then InDesign would only be needed for commercial stuff. If at all. But as long as publishers are still using InDesign, I will.
