"The Europeans have the clocks, the Irish have the time."
Our last day of holiday is dawning, tomorrow we continue.
And what do last days of holiday look like?
We're going to tidy up our Felix. I want to have a look in the garage, I suspect that small animals have moved in there. So I take everything out, clean it once and put it all back in again. 5 minutes later the garage is clean and I am reassured. No unwanted six- or eight-legged passengers.
We also turn the bathroom inside out again, empty the toilet and give everything a good clean. A small wash in our super washing machine and we are done with the big cleaning.
Grab our SUP and go on a big expedition: two on the Atlantic. We strap our stuff to the front, Gerd sits in the back as a passenger and I paddle out to sea in the middle. The whole thing is quite a shaky affair. Gerd just won't sit still and the water keeps rippling.
Finally we reach a small harbour with an even smaller beach. Here the Irish are splashing in the water as if there were no tomorrow. They probably need to cool off - oh yes, heat wave in Ireland! When we briefly get into the water, we notice that the water temperature is not yet our bathing water feel-good temperature. And it's better to stay on the board and hope that it stays that way.
Slowly (no, we don't want to go fast, We are on summer holiday right now!) we paddle our way home, already chopping the watermelon in our minds and the closer we get to the home beach, the louder our stomachs growl with imagined hunger.
What a magical day by the sea. Nevertheless, we notice that we are drawn northwards.
Merci for "travelling with us

Well, well, you two dear ones.
Sooo beautiful pictures again. 👍🥰
Unfortunately, you can't comment on them individually. 😁
Yes, cleaning is also a must.
You feel better again afterwards, right?
Your exit from Facebook is completely understandable and right for me.
It annoys me too, because I often get involved in things and discussions that really shouldn't affect me at all. 😔
Well, let's see if the exchange with you here works just as well.
I would like
Happy holidays
s'Racheli
You love and faithful soul ❤️
Thank you for your wonderful words!
Since we finished cleaning the house in 30 minutes, we like it much better.
See you tomorrow!
Gerd & Heike
After your pictures and reports, I will soon be thinking every day about selling my hut in Heldenstein and switching to a campervan with a moped garage... hach....
Well then: go! We can only recommend it. And Gerd still thinks about the motorbike trailer every now and then 🙂
Kind regards - Heike
