"Our" house is not so easy to find. Here an alley, there another trail, then the second gate on the left. Felix has to stick to the road, he only gets into these winding alleys once. And never back again.
At Heiner's we are welcomed as if we had only been away for a week. He takes us in his arms, shows us his little house, our "temporary kingdom" and we continue where we left off in April 2021, where we had to leave off.
We cook together, laugh together and the conversations immediately have the depth again that we loved so much and, as we now realise, also missed. On Wednesday morning we get a visitor, we all meditate on the sun terrace, dance the 5 Rhythms in the bright sunshine and it is really a very nice arrival.
We spend the days on our terrace, the sun spoils us and Mohrle, "our" cat, makes himself comfortable alternately on my lap or Gerd's lap. Family and friends ask how we are doing. And us? We are beaming.
Strolling through the town, Spyros, our landlord from 2 years ago, hugs us when we meet him. Down at the harbour we comfortably drink a first "Ellenikós Metreó" and yes, our muscles suddenly painfully remind us that the alleys of Koroni are very steep.
I arrange to go for a pedicure, yes, Maria is already looking forward to it: "Of course I remember who you are!" And Stefan asks us on the street, after we have hugged each other in greeting, where we have our van. Aha, so word has got around that we've switched from a motorbike to a camper van. Just like a village.
"The best place to buy bread is in the little side alley, and you can have the curd filled into your own cups at Sypsas. You can get eggs from Claudia and new gas bottles for cooking in Charakopio. So not much has changed, which is nice when you don't have to worry about so many new things.
Sometimes "everything the same" is also quite nice, especially after 2.5 years where everything is new every day.

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable.
