Great Journey 🏴 Day 668/2

great journey 🏴 day 6682 the castle dunvegan we pick ourselves up for another

We save Dunvegan Castle for another time, today we continue to Fairy Glen.

Fairies live in Fairy Glen. They have beautifully decorated their gardens, the small mountains are sweet as sugar and remind us a little of Cappadocia in their grace. We don't know exactly where the fairies come from, but you can tell that they have really made an effort with their settlement.

High up they also inhabit a small ruined castle, the narrow path on it indicates that the fairies do not actually use it. Only visitors.

This is where it's supposed to happen: this is where wishes come true. And that goes like this:

First you trudge up the mountain, then enter the stone circle, throw a coin into the middle, close your eyes and then walk backwards out the snail's path. As you do so, you mumble the wish to yourself. When you reach the end, you can be sure that your wish will come true.

The important thing is not to reveal the wish to others. All right, it will remain a secret between the fairies and me. But those who read carefully here will probably already have an idea.

By the way, the fairies are very sensitive creatures, they don't like noise and drones at all. Neither do rubbish and noisy oafs. When we were here, we were not completely alone. Actually, it was quite crowded here.

On our way back in a few days, when we pass by here again, I would like to talk shop with the fairies here alone in the evening, just the two of us, so to speak.

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

By the way, we are travelling through Iran. It's possible that we won't be writing posts at all or will be late. We first have to see if it works for us. And whether we can even manage to write down all the fantastic impressions in good time.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!
