Grand Tour - Wales - Day 746/3

Grand Tour - Wales - Day 746/3

At the end of the dream day, we just want to go to a quiet campsite, quickly cook something, then process the impressions of the day and quickly go to bed.

But things turn out differently, as they always do when we have plans.

Shortly before we reach our desired spot an old Shipwreck through the famous English (Welsh?) hedgerows. We stop, unfortunately a site visit is not possible.

We send out our nameless "from-above observer" and are very impressed by the pictures she delights us with.

The rusty colossus, the "Duke of Lancaster" is stranded in the north-east of Wales and now lies there like that. It's getting more and more rusty and seems to be a projection surface for spray-painting artists. It is supposed to have been converted into a fun ship, but we can't see anything of that.

While Gerd flies around the old steamer, I collect blackberries, which grow here in masses, and elderberries. I give up on "cooking something quickly", today I boil down jam and elderberry juice.

Then I lie awake that night: an overdose of vitamin C and my body thinks so: "Sleep, oh no!" I know that about myself, I should have known. But learning? That's for beginners!

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!

Well, you're such a one, dear Heike. 😁
I can't help but be amazed at what you manage to do in your mini-home. ... jam cooked ....👍😂👍
Enjoy it.

And this ship ... Very exciting.
I would have died of curiosity. 🤣
Good thing Gerd has the drone.
At least you were able to calm me down a bit. 😇
Nevertheless....into the boat would still be something 😉

Warm greetings from the witch's house
