Smile. And: chocolate makes you happy.
I have already told you that there is a classmate in my class who is quite strict. If I'm late (because I'm hanging around in the corridor chatting for too long during break) or haven't done any homework, or if I like to discuss with the teacher that I don't want to do any homework, and no, especially not at the weekend, she's "not amused" and asks in all seriousness if she can do 2 or 3 complete pages instead of this 1/2 page of text. Then I started looking for common ground so that we would have something to talk about. No, children are terrible for her. Yes, microwave food is healthy. Yes, you have to repeat the whole lesson at home. No, learning has nothing to do with fun. I was at the end of my Latin (in this case, my English).
But then I had an idea. There's a lovely chocolate café around the corner. So I went and bought a whole bag of chocolates and chocolate. All different kinds. Little bars like that.

And after the next break, I asked everyone what they liked. And lo and behold, we both decided on the coconut flavour! Now I see light at the end of the tunnel. We have something in common. That's something to build on.
By the way, the others got chocolate too, of course, and we snacked on it throughout the whole lesson. So slowly I have school the way I want it. Snacking, coffee, a bit of fun and a lot of English 🙂 #bribing #chocolateisdieretting #peoplearedifferent #nochocoladeistauchkeinelösung
