"If you've been to Bangkok and not to the GrandPalace, you haven't been to Bangkok!" That's what it says in the guidebook I find in the hotel. So says the wonderful pearl who accompanies us through the city and to the train and floating market. So this palace is also on the agenda. We push our way through the crowds, at some point no longer noticing the heat and are dazzled by the incredible beauty, diversity and also, who would have thought it, the real sun. Every new king has added some fancy building to this complex, so there is much to experience, to hear, to marvel at. Side note from Sunny: It really wouldn't be full today, full would be different, then you could walk in tippy-toe steps. Today it is almost empty.
