Today there is culture. Today we are going to Wat Phou, apparently the most important temple here in Laos. And what can I tell you? This is my favourite picture. All over the time-honoured temple complex, cows and goats run around and graze. (Next to us tourists, who rather traipse in the sweltering heat than take a break).
And the little calf snuggles up to Gerd, keeps nudging him and wants Gerd to scratch his head. He doesn't want to let him go (I can understand that very well!). Only when the temple "sheriffs" tell us that it will soon be closed does Gerd part with a heavy heart and come with me.
